GHREB's President welcomes NAREB Realtists attending the annual convention in NYC.

Youth program available at 60th Annual NAREB Convention.
GHREB is excited about co-hosting the members of its parent organization, NAREB, for its historic 60th Annual Convention. This year's convention is being held at the Sheraton Hotel in NYC. Join us for information packed seminars and fun networking opportunities. This year, there will also be a youth conference where 8 to 18 year olds can learn important facts about financial literacy and enjoy a cultural tour of NYC. Submissions for the Emily Ricks scholarship are due on July 31st.
High school and college attendees of the May 12, 2007 Real Estate Awareness Day are encouraged to submit an essay explaining their motivations for becoming a real estate professional. Outstanding students will be selected to receive $1000 scholarships to be used to further their education in a real estate related field. The scholarship recipients will be announced on October 20, 2007
Real Estate Awareness Day a Success
This year's Real Estate Awareness Day was attended by approximately 50 outstanding young high school and college students. These enterprising students attended seminars led by board members and other prominent realtists to learn about the qualifications and opportunities available in a wide variety of real estate professions.
Emily Ricks, board member emerita, dies at age 101.
It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Emily Ricks on April 4, 2007. As you all know, Emily was a supporting pillar of our organization. As one of our founding members, she was always serious and passionate about her work with the Greater Harlem Real Estate Board and in her career as a real estate professional. She was a source of encouragement and inspiration to all who came in contact with her and was loved and respected by her peers. It was always a pleasure to sit with her to reminisce about life and her profession. Emily will be dearly missed.
